Friendship
Frank and Peter would like to invite you to become a Friend of Save the Bilby Fund to help them continue their valuable work. By becoming a Friend, you will be playing your part in helping secure the survival of not only bilbies, but also other endangered wildlife.
Your friendship will support our conservation work including captive breeding, management of the Currawinya population, tracking systems, education programs, locating future release sites and much more. The main threat to our wild bilby population is introduced species such as cats and foxes. Prior to European settlement, bilbies occupied 70% of Australia. Wild populations now only exist in western Queensland, northern Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The Queensland wild population of bilbies is estimated to be fewer than 600 animals. By becoming a Friend, you will also be supporting us in our efforts to manage threats to bilby populations and re-establish them within parts of their former range. You could also have the opportunity to join in bilby research activities.
On becoming a Friend, you will receive a username and password which will give you access to the secure section of our website. Through this section, you will have access to the latest research papers.
You can join by going through our online shop or click here to download the attached form which can be faxed, emailed or posted back to us. Our contact details are listed on the form.
